FILETTO VIII Villafranca (MS)
This head, partly missing the neck, was found in 1950 during reclamation work in the forest of Filetto,
not far from the location, where years earlier, the stelae-statue of
Filetto IV was brought to light; for which
reason it was hypothesized that the two fragments belonged to the same monument.
The new elements which distinguish this one from the other examples of
the group are the eyes in chalk, barely accentuated, the face delimited
by a circle in relief, as in Minucciano III and the two small side circles
that symbolize the ears.
