VENELIA II
Monti - Licciana Nardi (MS)

Found in the early months of 1984 in the locality of San Martino Basso during the aeration of the fields.
A masculine stelae-statue, acephalous, in a good state of conservation. At the top can be noted the attachment of the neck which was distinct from the torso, for which it has been assigned to Group B. The poignard placed in the center is characterized by a blade which is a perfect isosceles triangle, with well-defined corners. The handle and the pommel are of large dimensions with respect to the weapons of the other monuments in the group.
It is the only stelae with some linear incisions on the back side which however do not appear related to the cult of the stelae-statues.
For this monument, it was also possible to perform an archeological dig in the site in which it was located. During this dig were found, among other items, two arrowheads made of flint.
