TRESCHIETTO
Bagnone (MS)

Brought to light on 7 July 1969 during the works to enlarge the cemetery of Treschietto, in the town of Bagnone.
We have here a feminine stelae-statue, acephalous, possessing breasts represented in veristic style even down to a nod in the nipples. It has a geometric, spiked form, with a strong neck wearing a neck ornament formed by rings composed of parallel bands.
This type of ornament, also present in the stelae-statues of Sorano II, can be compared with the metal amulets used in the first phase of the Bronze Age.
