TAPONECCO Licciana (MS)
Found on 1 August 1975 in the
locality of Cavallino di Taponecco, in the highest part of the city almost
reaching the houses.
It must be considered one of the most archaic of Group B. It has the head
detached from the truck with moderate lateral expansion and with a rather narrow
and long U-shaped faced, with a slight nod.
The wide poignard has a triangular blade with an average hilt with the close
part reinforced and the tip slightly pointed up. The straight handle terminates
in a pommel that tends toward a semi-disk.
The stone has a spiked, quasi-rectangular form but the natural irregularites in
the lower part were retained.
