Driving licence |
Foreigners with a driving licence issued by native
country:
- if they are going to live in
Italy for less than 1 year they can drive with their document (the driving
licence needs a traslation into italian).
- If they
are going to stay in Italy longer than 1 year they have to convert the
document into Italian driving licence.
If the document cannot be converted
(driving licences from Brasil, Costarica, Honduras, Nicaragua,
Panama) they need an Italian driving licence. The document is issued by
Motorization or driving schools.
Who
wants to extend the driving licence may submit themselves to a medical
examination to the Local Health Authority (ASL) or to the State Railways
(FS) doctor.
