Who:
Are eligible to apply for the stay card the foreigners who meet all these
requirements:
a)
They currently live and reside in Italy
b)
They have a renewable permit of stay The
cohabitant husband/wife and/or sons may also apply for a stay card. The
applicant must show the availability of means of subsistence to support
the family.
These separate categories may also apply for a stay card:
the foreign child under eighteen, or the foreign parent or the foreign
wife/husband living with an
Italian citizen or with a citizen of a European Union Member State
residing in Italy. The
foreign spouse and/or the foreign child
under eighteen who is rejoining an Italian citizen or with a citizen
of a Union Member State or with a citizen from a country outside the
European Community bearing a stay card.
Foreign child under eighteen, who has been given a
permit of stay for family reasons, when he is just turned 18. Foreign child under eighteen registered on parent's
(or legal guardian's) stay card, when he is just turned 14.
The
stay card is issued within three months since application. It shall be
extended every ten years.
The stay card allows to travel without visas.
