The
Leaning Tower is open to visitors
The
Leaning Tower has been re-opened to visitors on December 15th 2001.
Entry fee: € 15,00 each person.
During the fifteen days that precede the visit tickets can be purchased
only at the Ticket Office next to the Leaning Tower. Visits can be
booked online (http://www.opapisa.it) with an advance of at least 16 days. Ticket price booked online: €
17.00 each person.
Opening hours: daily from
8:30 am to 8:30 pm (The opening time varies according to season
and depends on sunset). The Leaning Tower is open to visitors only
with tours allowed to groups of max 40 people, with a guide giving
directions on the way.
The tour
must start at the time shown on the admission ticket, no delay allowed. Each tour lasts thirty-five minutes, no
extensions granted. There's a tour every
30 minutes, from 8:30 a.m. Visitors are recommended not to step out on
to the outer walkways around each level, nor lean out of the protective
balustrades. No children
under 8. Children under age (18) shall be allowed only if accompanied by
adults in charge.
