The aim of these web pages is to share the knowledge and remembrance of the destroyed archaeological site of Bamiyan, so that it will stay alive, at least in a virtual form.
Please, collaborate with us !   If You have some photographs of the colossal statues of Buddha send them to the following address, if possible with your personal comments. They will be published on these pages with the author's name and address. The images You will send will not be reused for other purposes and the copyright rules will be explicitly remarked.

3 / 15 / 2002 These pages are dedicated to the memory of the Italian photo-reporter  RAFFAELE  CIRIELLO, killed in Ramallah (Palestina) on 3/13/2002, while he was documenting the horrors of war. He collaborated to do this site both encouraging our work and granting some of his "Postcards from Hell" from Bamiyan.
